If you want to spend a different morning discovering the most famous marble in the world. You will visit the village of Colonnata. We will bring you to the Apuan Alps, on the north coast of Tuscany, visiting one of the most ancient marble quarries still being worked by the inhabitants of the city of Carrara. You will taste the famous Lardo di Colonnata. From the village you will enjoy an extraordinary views arriving to the basin of Fantiscritti zone where you can enjoy a tour into a quarry carved deep into the mountain. You will see the marble ancient railway and  Vara bridges of the marble of Carrara. Following you will climb the mountains that gave the white marble to Michelangelo for its David and all his masterpieces. We will be glad to tailor your excursion as a part of a daily tour visiting other towns like Lucca or Pisa. In the summer time we can manage for you a half day to the sandy beach of the Versilia coast. Please ask for details through our form or sending us an email.
